Classical French cuisine, with a modern South African touch, prepared by two chefs out from France especially for FynArts, served in the sumptuous ambiance of the Benguela Cove Manor House. The gala dinner is based on recipes from the newly launched book by festival artist Louis Jansen van Vuuren and Hardy Olivier: THE STORY OF A HOUSE: Fables and Feasts from la Creuzette.
Thierry Finet, has owned two Michelin star restaurants and started working with the la Creuzette team about a decade ago. He has since sold the restaurants and works as a freelance culinary consultant also doing product development for the MONIN enterprise based in Bourges, France. Hardy Olivier works with the French chefs who present cookery courses for their guests. Being surrounded by wonderful organic produce has resulted in him experimenting in the kitchen and eventually taking over most of the cookery demonstrations at la Creuzette. Garth Stroebel, chef and hospitality consultant, will coordinate the dinner while students from Warrick’s Chef School assist with the preparation.
