We are incredibly proud to announce our success at the 2025 Fine Wine Awards, sponsored by American Express. Now in its second year, the awards' mission is to create the largest listing of blind-tasted wines in South Africa. We are delighted to be a part of this growing and important award that provides a trusted guide for local wine enthusiasts. It's a true testament to the hard work and passion of our entire cellar and vineyard team that our wines scored exceptionally well in the blind tasting, which is conducted by an independent panel of judges.

This is a wine every collector needs. It's a classic Bordeaux-style blend, expertly crafted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc. With vivid notes of violets and cool nuances of cigar leaves, this complex wine will have you reaching for another glass.
“This is a blend of five grape varieties that went through a seven-stage selection process.
Blending was done with one key idea in mind: to best reflect all the individual characters; to feel “complete” to all senses.
The result is a typical Bordeaux-style wine, classic but with bright fruit and freshness as expected from cool climate winemaking.”

The Story of our Vineyards
The story of our vineyards is told from the roots up. Our vines are thoroughly adjusted to the marginal conditions close to the sea. Varietals are anchored in diverse soil types and on different elevations. As a result, the terroir creates various microclimates to harbour different varieties. Exposed to the wrath of the stormy Cape, the wind is also our friend, keeping the vines healthy and cool. The estate is planted with a variety of red and white wine cultivars, as well as various clones thereof to create a diverse winemaking canvas.
The vineyards at Benguela Cove are unique. Dedicated to the craft of allowing each wine to tell its own story, only estate-grown grapes are used to encapsulate this quintessential cool-climate. Basked in sunshine yet cooled by maritime winds, our wine farm in the Hemel en Aarde region proudly boasts some of the most sought-after terroirs in the Western Cape.
