Benguela Cove Wins ‘Best Wine of Show’ at Michelangelo Awards 2025

Benguela Cove Wine Estate has once again proven its place among the world's elite winemakers, earning the highest honour at the 2025 Michelangelo International Wine & Spirits Awards. In a historic achievement, the Vinography Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 was named Best Wine of Show, triumphing over 1,335 entries from across the globe. This monumental win marks the second time in the estate's history it has claimed the competition's ultimate trophy.

Further solidifying its dominance, the Vinography Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 also secured the Best Cabernet Sauvignon Trophy, and was crowned the Southern Sun Wine Grand Prix Winner, a distinction granted to just one of 23 top-tier entries. This series of wins is a testament to Benguela Cove's commitment to producing wines that are not only a pure expression of their unique coastal terroir but also globally recognised for their exceptional quality.

A star-studded night for the Walker Bay wine estate.
