Benguela Cove Three Regional Champion Wines: SA Young Wine Show 2021
The South African Young Wine Show – presented annually by the South African National Wine Show Association (SANWSA) – gives winemakers the opportunity to showcase the best wines of the current vintage. For the first time in the history of the SA Young Wine Show, the organisers have – in collaboration with the various wine regions – decided to announce all the regional champion winners at the same time.
This year 1 162 wines have been entered by 86 cellars, from which 45 class winners and 73 gold medal winners were chosen.

One of the world’s oldest wine competitions that dated back to 1833. This competition offers winemakers the opportunity to measure their different young wines, experimental styles and new cultivars to measure to create sustainability and innovation. The regional championships have been announced and following the next two weeks, the Nation Champions that will be awarded the General Smuts Trophy for overall best young wine 2021.
