Late September/early October - South Africa's only Eco-Arts festival celebrating the return of Southern Right Whales. Features live music, comedy, children's entertainment, cabaret, dance, and incredible whale watching from the cliffs.

Paddle alongside whales in Walker Bay with guided sea kayaking tours from Hermanus Old Harbour. An immersive experience getting close to marine life whilst maintaining safe, responsible distances.

Nearby Gansbaai (30 minutes) offers world-famous Great White Shark cage diving experiences year-round. Tours depart from Kleinbaai Harbour through Shark Alley between Dyer Island and Geyser Rock.
